Dr. Wm. Randy Jungman is passionate about family, community organizations and the private practice of dentistry. As the son and brother of dentists, he has most enjoyed practicing with his wife, Dr. Julie Kangas for over 40 years; and now two sons have joined them in their Escondido private practice, Citracado Dental Group. To have the opportunity to mentor as well as collaborate with his wife and sons highlights the incredible opportunities available in private group dental practices. (He belongs to the ADA, CDA, APDP, AAOSH and AADSM.)  

Dr. Jungman has a special passion for mentoring pre-dental and dental students.  Volunteering with the UC San Diego, pre-dental society, and the CSU San Marcos Stem program, his one-on-one interactions with students has helped them to see the magic in the practice of dentistry and other health care professions.  Serving as national President of Psi Omega Dental Fraternity has extended his outreach to share the benefits of private practice Dentistry.  His commitment to youth also extends to his previous service as chair & member of the board of directors of the Boys and Girls Clubs of Greater San Diego and the San Diego Imperial Council of Scouting America.  He is the proud father of 4 Eagle Scouts,

Drs Jungman & Kangas credit the APDP for learning and fellowship opportunities beyond their imagination. They believe they have become better spouses, dentists, business owners, parents, and community volunteers through their membership in this unique organization.  They attended their first meeting in 1990 and have not missed a meeting in 35 years!  We are grateful for the wisdom and camaraderie provided by the members and guests of the Academy for Private Dental Practice and are honored to share leadership within the Academy they love and value.

Dr. Jungman enjoys activities outside of dentistry, particularly travel and maintaining connections with his extended family and friends.  A native of San Diego, he graduated from San Diego State as a zoology major, before obtaining his dental degree from the University of Southern California.  Drs. Randy & Julie love to host family & friends at their Escondido home for holidays, special events and visits throughout the year.
